Over the years, soap operas have been a source of entertainment for millions of people, in the USA as well as all over the globe. During its long run, this medium has produced some of the most memorable one-liners (zingers) on the air. On "All My Children", ABC's venerable, long-running hit, the distinguished actress of stage, screen and television, Ruth Warrick, spewed a delightful line of script to one of the more obnoxious female characters on the show that has remained in my mind since the day it was uttered. I cannot recall the episode or the year, but it went something like this, "You're just a by-product of your mother's misplaced ambitions." Classic! Throughout the years, those kinds of one-line "zingers" have been a staple of the genre. The purpose of this blog is to cultivate a collection of these zingers. So, if any of you soap opera devotees can recall similar quotes, please feel free to post here. This is simply for fun. Go for it.
